Money Loom is a personal budget management app that works primarily on your device. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is handled.
Financial Data
Your financial data stays on your phone.
Money Loom does not collect any personal financial data. Your income, expenses, balances, bills, categories, and financial history are stored locally on your device.
- No financial data is sent to external servers
- No user account is required
- No cloud synchronization of your financial data
- The app works offline for budget management
Usage Data (Anonymized Analytics)
Money Loom uses Firebase Analytics (a service provided by Google) to collect anonymized usage statistics.
What data is collected?
- Number of sessions
- Screens viewed
- Duration of use
- Device type and operating system version
Why is this data collected?
These statistics help us understand how the app is used and identify potential technical issues, in order to improve the user experience.
Important: This data does not identify you personally. No financial data (amounts, expenses, balances) is ever transmitted to Firebase Analytics.

SMS Feature
When you use the budget summary via SMS feature, the message is sent through the SMS app you select on your phone.
Money Loom does not have access to the message content or the recipient.
App Features
Money Loom allows you to:
- Manage your personal budget
- Calculate your disposable income and daily budget
- Allocate your budget into envelopes
- Track your expenses with charts
- Export and import your data in CSV format (file stored on your phone)
- Set savings goals and track progress
Data Sharing
No financial data is shared with servers or third parties.
The only data transmitted is anonymized usage statistics via Firebase Analytics, within the limits described above.
Your Rights
In accordance with data protection regulations (including the GDPR for users in the European Union), you have the following rights:
- Right of access: you can request a copy of data concerning you
- Right to rectification: you can request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure: you can request deletion of your data
- Right to object: you can object to the processing of your data
Since your financial data stays on your phone, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing the app data from your device settings.
Security
Your financial data is stored locally on your device. The security of this data therefore depends on your phone's security mechanisms (screen lock, fingerprint, PIN code, etc.).
